
Marina Viotti, Joyce El-Khoury, Nicole Car, Etienne Dupuis & Patricia Racette Lead Dallas Opera’s 2025-26 Season

Mainstage
The season opens with Bizet’s “Carmen.” The company will present the United States premiere of a new production that recreates the original Opéra-Comique production with sets and costumes faithfully designed as they were in 1875. The production will be directed by Romain Gilbert. Marina Viotti sings the title role in her company debut alongside Saimir Pirgu, Teresa Perrotta, and Gihoon Kim. Emmanuel Villaume conducts.
Performance Dates: Oct. 17 – 26 2025
Joyce El-Khoury, Patricia Racette, Leah Hawkins, Stéphanie D’Oustrac, Deanna Breiwick, Gretchen Krupp, Meridian Prall, Raymond Aceto, and Martin Luther Clark lead Poulenc’s “Dialogues of the Carmelites.” Emmanuel Villaume conducts the production by Olivier Py.
Performance Dates: Nov. 7 – 15 2025
Rachel Portman’s “The Little Prince” will be performed for the first time with the company. The production will star Kyle Miller, Tessa Fackelmann, Ashley Townsley, Jacob Abrahamse, Keron Jackson, Diana Newman, and Korin Thomas Smith. Nicole Paiement conducts the production by Francesca Zambello.
Performance Dates: Feb. 6 – 14, 2026
Verdi’s “Don Carlo” will receive a new production by Louis Désiré. Emmanuel Villaume conducts a cast that includes Stephen Costello, Nicole Car, Étienne Dupuis, Clémentine Margaine, Christian Van Horn, and Morris Robinson.
Performance Dates: Feb. 27 – March 7, 2026
Family Operas
The company will offer “The Three Little Pigs,” a 30-minute, kid-friendly opera.

“The Little Prince,” a 50-minute family version of the full-length opera will be presented.
Performance Dates: Nov. 15, 2025 & Feb. 15, 2026
Concerts & Recitals
The Linda and Mitch Hart Institute for Women Conductors Showcase Concert will be held.
Performance Date: Jan. 2026
The Robert E. and Jean Ann Titus Family Recital will feature Erin Morley and Gerald Martin Moore.

The National Vocal Competition will be showcased.
