The Opéra Royale de Wallonie-Liège has announced its 2022-23 season.

To kick things off, Jodie Devos takes on the title role in Delibes’ “Lakmé” alongside Philippe Talbot, Lionel Lhote, Pierre Doyen, and Marion Lebègue. Frédéric Chaslin conducts.

Giuseppe Finzi conducts Rossini’s “Il Turco in Italia” with Bruno De Simone, Gianna Cañete Gallo, Guido Loconsolo, Diego Godoy, and Pierre Doyen. Fabrice Murgia directs.

Performance Dates: Oct. 21-29, 2022

Plácido Domingo and Davinia Rodríguez team up for a concert alongside Giampaolo Bisanti.

Performance Date: Nov. 5, 2022

The company will present “L’Histoire (en)chantée de Lakmé” inspired by “Lakmé.” Marie Neyrinck wrote the adaptation.

Hui He sings the title role of Verdi’s “Alzira” alongside Luciano Ganci and Giovanni Meoni. Giampaolo Bisanti and Leonardo Sini conduct while Jean Pierre Gamarra directs.

Cecilia Bartoli leads a concert performance of Mozart’s “La Clemenza di Tito” with John Osborn, Fatma Said, Mélissa Petit, Lea Desandre, and Peter Kálmán.

Offenbach’s “La Vie parisienne” will star Anne-Catherine Gillet, Flannan Obé, Laurent Deleuil, Jérôme Boutillier, Sandrine Buendia, and Éléonore Pancrazi. Romain Dumas conducts the production by Christian Lacroix.

Jessica Pratt, René Barbera, and Marko Mimica will lead Bellini’s “La Sonnambula” with Giampaolo Bisanti conducting and Jaco Van Dormael directing.

Thomas’ “Hamlet” will star Lionel Lhote, Jodie Devos, Béatrice Uria-Monzon, Nicolas Testé, and Pierre Derhet. Guillaume Tourniaire conducts the production by Cyril Teste.
