Soprano Maribel Ortega is set to pay tribute to Maria Callas on Oct. 22, 2023 with a concert at the Auditorio del espacio cultural Cèntric at El Prat de Llobregat in Barcelona.

Ortega will sing arias that Callas made famous and will join forces with soprano Isabella Gaudí, who will also perform arias from Callas’ vast repertoire. They will be joined by Josep Buforn on piano conductor Marcel Gorgori.

The concert is part of the Maria Callas 100th anniversary celebration. There will be projections of the famed Greek-American soprano projected during the evening.

Ortega is a well-known Spanish soprano who has performed Teatro alla Scala, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Ópera de Oviedo, and the Palau de les Arts.
