
Mariangela Sicilia & Cecilia Molinari Among Premio ‘Franco Abbiati’ Winners

The award for Best Performance went to “Ermione” from the Rossini Opera Festival conducted by and directed by Johannes Erath.
The award for Best Conductor went to Emmanuel Tjeknavorian while the Director award was awarded to Moshe Leiser e Patrice Caurier for their production of “Mefistofele” at the Teatro La Fenice.
The award for production went to “Rusalka” from the Teatro San Carlo” by Dmitri Tcherniakov. Best Costume Design was awarded to Eva-Maria Van Acker for “Le Grand Macabre” at the Teatro Massimo di Palermo while the Best Soloist award was prized to Mariangela Sicilia and Cecilia Molinari.
Other awards included “Novità per l’Italia” for Samir Odeh-Tamimi, Roaïkron, Premio special for “Manon Manon Manon” at the Teatro Regio di Torino, and Premio “Filippo Siebaneck” for Progetto Social Opera.
The awards were juried by Andrea Estero, Alessandro Cammarano, Carlo Fiore, Gianluigi Mattietti, Carla Moreni, Roberta Pedrotti, Attilio Cantore, Lorenzo Tozzi, Susanna Franchi, Cesare Galla, Giancarlo Landini, Gregorio Moppi, and Alessandro Rigolli.
