Madison Lyric Stage to Present ‘Postcards from Pierrot’

Connecticut-based Madison Lyric Stage will present “Postcards from Pierrot” on June 24 and 25.

The production will feature Marc Deaton as he performs Schoenberg’s “Pierrot Lunaire” and “The Book of the Hanging Gardens” and Berg’s “Altenberg Lieder.”

The performance of “Pierrot Lunaire” will be accompanied by a full five-person orchestra conducted by Nathaniel Baker. Deaton will be joined by dancer Sarah Kennedy as Columbine. The performance will also feature pianist Kelly Horsted.

The company recently announced its 2023 season, which will feature performances of “Angels in America: Part I, Millennium Approaches,” “Spring Awakening,” and “Climb Every Mountain: An Evening of Rodgers & Hammerstein.”
