Madison Avenue Baptist Church to Host Concert Featuring Mozart, Rossini, and Puccini

The historic Madison Avenue Baptist Church in New York will host a concert as part of its Madison Sounds Concert Series, on Nov. 9, 2023.

The audience will hear an assortment of solo and ensemble works, featuring compositions by Mozart, Rossini, and Puccini, spanning different genres and styles.

World-class vocalists from the church’s choir, such as Jenny Lindsey, Karen Rich, Alex De Suze, Richard Binder, Brian Long, and Doug Shapiro, will perform.

In an official statement, Aza Sydykov, the Minister of Music, Education, and Cultural Affairs, said, “The MABC Choir is the beating heart and soul of the worship services and public events at Madison Avenue Baptist Church, and I am thrilled to feature this exceptional ensemble in the Madison Sounds concert series. This provides a unique chance for music enthusiasts in New York to experience the exceptional talents of our choir’s soloists, who are versatile, cross-genre artists with an extensive and boundless repertoire.”

All proceeds from the concert will go to the International Red Cross.
