Mack Wolz, Susanna Phillips & Joshua Blue Lead Opera Theatre Saint Louis’s 2022 Season

Opera Theatre Saint Louis has announced its 2022 season featuring four works.

Daniela Candillari will conduct a new production of Bizet’s Carmen directed by Rodula Gaitanou. The production will star Sarah Mesko in the title role, Adam Smith as Don Jose, Christian Pursell as Escamillo, and Yunuet Laguna as Micaela.

Performance Dates: May 21 – June 25, 2022

Rory MacDonald conducts Mozart’s The Magic Flute in a new production by Omer Ben Seadia. The production by Joshua Blue, Erica Petrocelli, Jeni Houser, and Johnathan McCullough.

Performance Dates: May 28 – June 26, 2022

Tobias Picker & Aryeh Lev Stollman’s “Awakenings” will make its world premiere. Roberto Kalb conducts the new production by James Robinson which will star Jarrett Porter,  Susanna Phillips, Katharine Goeldner, and David Pittsinger.

Performance Dates: June 5–24, 2022

Stewart Wallace & Michael Korie’s “Harvey Milk” will return to the company with Carolyn Kuan conducting Seán Curran’s production which is co-staged by James Robinson. The work will star Jonathan Johnson, Nathan Stark, and Mack Wolz.

Performance Dates: June 11–25, 2022
