Macerata Opera Festival Announces 2025 Season

The Macerata Opera Festival has announced the operas for the 2025 season.

The 61st Festival will take place between July 18 and August 10 and will showcase three works.

The first open that will be performed is Lehar’s “The Merry Widow” which will be staged for the first time at the festival.

Performance Dates: July 18-August 9, 2025

The second opera of the festival will be Verdi’s “Rigoletto” in a production by Federico Grazzini.

Performance Dates: July 19-August 8, 2025

Verdi’s “Macbeth” will be the third and final work of the festival in a production by Emma Dante.

Performance Dates: July 26-August 10, 2025 

The 60th anniversary celebrated Puccini and saw productions of “Turandot” and “La Bohème.” The season also included “Norma.”

Cast members will be announced at a later point.
