Cast Change: Peter Kálmán Joins Wiener Staatsoper Production of ‘La Fille du Régiment’

The Wiener Staatsoper has announced that Hungarian bass-baritone Peter Kálmán will sing Sulpice in its production of “La fille du régiment.”
Kálmán joins a cast that includes soprano Erin Morley as Marie and tenor Xabier Anduaga as Tonio, with Evelino Pidò conducting. Mezzo-soprano Stephanie Houtzeel sings the Marquise de Berkenfield, Marcus Pelz is Hortensius, and Brigitte Kren is the Duchess of Crakentorp.
The production runs from Nov. 1-13, 2026.
Other highlights of Kálmán’s 2026-27 season include “L’elisir d’amore,” also at the Wiener Staatsoper, the title role of “Falstaff” at Teatr Wielki – Opera Narodowa, “Katia Kabanová” at Teatro Real, and “Siegfried” with Opéra de Monte-Carlo.
