Lyric Opera of Chicago has announced the election of five new board members.

“We are delighted to welcome Santino Bibbo, Bruce Braun, Denise B. Gardner, Dorri McWhorter, and John C. Robak to our Board of Directors,” said Sylvia Neil, Board Chair of Lyric Opera of Chicago, in an official press release issued by the company. “Their diverse expertise and dedication to the power of the arts will directly enhance Lyric’s mission and our commitment to Chicago.”

Bibbo is the managing director and head of capital markets at Cabrera Capital Markets. Braun is the co-leader of the commercial litigation practice group at Sidley Austin and has had head board positions with the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and the Digestive Health Foundation of Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Gardner is the the former president of Insights & Opportunities, Inc. and also led such organizations as Soft Sheen Products.

McWhorter is the president and CEO of the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago. Finally, Robak is the Chairman and CEO of Greeley and Hansen.
