The Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre has issued a statement regarding strategic changes the company has made since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Per the press release, the company said that it has recently turned to TikTok to reach a new audience during the lockdown, a move was “an overwhelming success.”

During the lockdown, the opera house strengthened international relations and finally premiered Donizetti’s “Anna Bolena” in October 2020. The opera was a co-production with Teatro dell’Opera di Roma.

The Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre has also stated that it has staged a production of Verdi’s “La Traviata,” which will be presented during spring 2021.

LNOBT has also expressed its determination to share the updates and stories of how the artists, musicians, and workers went through the pandemic period and subsequently evolved. The opera house hopes that its experience will help and empower other artists and companies.
