International vocal competition Neue Stimmen has unveiled some updates about its 2024 competition.

The organization revealed that Samuel Gelber has joined the jury screening for the pre-selection in New York and in the final round in Gütersloh. He joins Brian Dickie, Sophie Joyce, and Evamaria Wieser.

Moreover, the organization revealed that Liz Mhn Stiftung will be awarding over 60,000 euros to the final-round participants.

In sum, over 1,000 singers from across 73 countries have applied for this year’s competition, the 20th edition of the event. The first round was an all-digital selection process and the second round is currently underway in Amsterdam, Berlin, Cape Town, Frankfurt, London, New York, Milan, Munich, Paris, Warsaw, Yerevan, and Zürich for live auditions until June 9.

The final round takes place in October in Gütersloh.
