On April 16, Lisette Oropesa and Xabier Anduaga will join Rome’s Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia for a Bel Canto concert.

Sir Antonio Pappano will conduct the two stars in a program that will include music from Bellini’s “I Puritani” and “La Sonnambula” and Donizetti’s “La Fille du Regiment,” “Lucrezia Borgia,” “Lucia di Lammermoor,” “Don Pasquale,” and “L’Elisir d’Amore.” The concert will reunite Anduaga and Oropesa who collaborated in the Opera de Paris’ production of “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” in February 2020.

The program will be streamed on Rai3 and RaiPlay.

Oropesa recently starred in a filmed version of “La Traviata” at the Rome Opera and is currently recording a Bel Canto album. Meanwhile, Anduaga starred in the Teatro La Fenice’s New Year’s gala and is set to return to the stage for “La Cenerentola” at the Opera de Las Palmas.
