Lisette Oropesa has announced a five year deal with San Francisco Classical Recording Company

The soprano made the news official on social media stating, “Cheers! I am so incredibly happy and GRATEFUL to share that this week here in Munich, I have been recording my first ever solo+orchestra album: a full CD of Mozart Concert Arias with the beautiful orchestra Il pomo d’oro, led by the amazing Antonello Manacorda!!!!!”

She continued, “We have been hard at work and this project has been the culmination of months of preparation. Even with travel difficulties, social distancing during the process, masks, and all of the uncertainties of this time, we managed to put together an album I feel so completely proud of. This record is the first in a series of albums that I will be making under my 5-year exclusive deal with the San Francisco Classical Recording Company, to be released by PENTATONE. I’m so honored to be a part of this team as an artist and get to share many more recording projects with you all as they come up. We have wonderful ideas in the works, including a special group of Bel Canto albums. This is the only Mozart project we are doing, but I am so incredibly happy to have gotten a rare chance to prepare this repertoire and share it with the world!

The news comes after the soprano has been previewing a Mozart recording throughout the week on her social media channels.

PENTATONE confirmed the news stating, “Lisette Oropesa is simply one of the finest singers, one of the most extraordinary artists active today. We are absolutely thrilled to launch this collaboration. It is an optimistic, hopeful signal in a challenging time. We are also very happy to be able to develop Lisette’s discography in close collaboration with Job Maarse and San Francisco Classical Recording Company.”
