Light Opera of New Jersey has announced that Teresa Giardina will be its new Director of Outreach and Community Engagement.

Giardina has been involved with the company for several years as a performer and volunteer.

“Tess is extremely qualified for this position and has extensive experience working for arts companies like the New Jersey Symphony. We are delighted to have her leading this important initiative that seeks to open the power of the arts to all,” said Executive Director Jason Tramm in an official press statement.

Along with this announcement, the company also revealed that it would be offering free tickets for its Feb. 17, 2024 performance of “The Barber of Seville” as part of its Opera for All Initiative. The Opera for All Initiative is partially funded by the National Endowment for the Arts.
