Leontyne Price, Anna Netrebko, Renée Fleming, Plácido Domingo & At Home Gala Headline Weeks 13 & 14 of Metropolitan Opera Nightly Streams

The Metropolitan Opera has announced Weeks 13 and 14 of its nightly streams.

The streams will include music by Mozart, Bartok, Rossini, Handel, Verdi, and Glass. Also, audiences will get a chance to check out the At Home Gala once again.

Monday, June 8 – Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito

Conducted by Harry Bicket; starring Lucy Crowe, Barbara Frittoli, Elīna Garanča, Kate Lindsey, and Giuseppe Filianoti. Transmitted live on December 1, 2012.

Tuesday, June 9 – Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta and Bartók’s Bluebeard’s Castle

Conducted by Valery Gergiev; starring Anna Netrebko and Piotr Beczała in Iolanta, and Nadja Michael and Mikhail Petrenko in Bluebeard’s Castle. Transmitted live on February 14, 2015.

Wednesday, June 10 – Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel

Conducted by Vladimir Jurowski; starring Christine Schäfer, Alice Coote, Rosalind Plowright, Philip Langridge, and Alan Held. Transmitted live on January 1, 2008.

Thursday, June 11 – Rossini’s L’Italiana in Algeri

Friday, June 12 & Saturday June 13 – At Home Gala (Encore Screening)

A re-broadcast of the company’s recent At-Home Gala, which featured over 40 artists and members of the Met Orchestra and Chorus in a virtual performance from their homes around the world. General Manager Peter Gelb and Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin host. Transmitted live on April 25, 2020.

UPDATE: On Monday, June 1, 2020, the Met Opera released a press statement canceling the streaming of the At Home Gala on the 12th and 13th.
