Leo Nucci to Preside over VIII Concurso Internacional de Canto Alfredo Kraus Jury

Leo Nucci will preside over the VIII Concurso Internacional de Canto Alfredo Kraus jury.

The Spanish competition will be held in the Gran Canarias in Spain from Sept. 20 to 25, 2021 and will use all precautions and regulations to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Nucci will join a jury that will include Daniel Bianco (Director of Teatro Nacional de La Zarzuela de Madrid), Anton Gradsack (Casting Director of the Teatro del Maggio MusicaleFiorentino), Elisabete Matos (Artistic Director of Teatro de São Carlos de Lisboa), Alessandro Galoppini (Casting Director of Teatro alla Scala di Milano), Celestino Varela (General Director of Ópera de Oviedo), Ulises Jaén (General Director of Ópera de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria / ACO), Guillermo García-Alcalde and Jerónimo Saavedra Acevedo.

The competition will be open to singers between the ages of 18 to 35 with the semi-finals held on Sept. 20 and 21 and the finals on Sept. 25 at the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus in La Gran Canarias.
