LA Opera Board of Directors Inducts New Members

Lisa Bratkovich and Nora M. Manella have been inducted as new members of the Los Angeles Opera board of directors.

Bratkovich, born in Los Angeles, is a successful Chief Marketing Officer and General Management Executive that has served on nonprofit boards for 11 years. She was the Director of Marketing at ChromaDex and the Senior Vice President of Marketing at GuthylRenker.

Manella was born in Los Angeles and has a brilliant resume: for three decades she served as a U.S. state and federal trial trial judge, presiding over the California Court of Appeals. She was appointed six times by the Governors of California and a U.S. President to executive and judicial positions. She was Legal Counsel to a US Senate Subcommittee and was appointed US Attorney for the Central District by President Clinton of California.

“With their wide-ranging experience and leadership skills, our new directors will bring fresh perspective to our dynamic and continually evolving board. I am excited to welcome them to our company in this new capacity,” said Keith R. Leonard Jr., Chairman of The Opera Board of Directors in an official press statement.

Los Angeles Opera recently opened a production of Verdi’s “Otello” starring Russell Thomas in the title role.
