La Monnaie Symphony Orchestra Returns to Springtime Performances with ‘Il Trittico’

On March 15, 2022, La Monnaie Symphony Orchestra will Puccini’s “Il Trittico” as part of their yearly tradition of springtime performances.

Director Tobias Kratzer and conductor Alain Altinoglu lead the casts of their respective works. “Il Tabarro” will feature Peter Kalman as Michele, Corrine Winters/Lianna Haroutounian as Giorgetta, and Adam Smith as Luigi/Amante.

The cast of “Suor Angelica” includes Winters/Haroutounian in the title role, Raehann Bryce-Davis as La zia principessa, Elena Zilio as La badessa, Annunziata Vestri as La suora zelatrice, among others.

The cast of “Gianni Schicchi” will include Kalman in the title role, Benedetta Torre as Lauretta, Elena Zilio as Zita, and Smith as Rinuccio.

The production comes as La Monnaie returns from a year’s absence due to COVID-related closures, and follows in its successful 2020 run of “Trilogia Mozart Da Ponte,” which celebrated the works created by the partnership of Mozart and Da Ponte.

Performances will be held on March 15, 17, 20, 23, 26, 29, 31, as well as April 3, 6, and 9, 2022.
