Klaus Florian Vogt, Iréne Theorin, Juan Diego Flórez & Nicole Car Headline Wiener Staatsoper Streaming Slate

The Wiener Staatsoper has announced the next slate of operas that it will be presenting on its streaming platform over the next week.

First up is the production of Beethoven‘s “Fidelio” starring Klaus Florian Vogt, Anja Kampe, Evgeny Nikitin, Stephen Milling, and Valentina Naforniţă. Peter Schneider conducts the production by Otto Schenk. The opera was filmed on Jan. 14, 2016.

Streaming date: April 27, 2021, 7 p.m. CET

Next up is the production of Wagner‘s “Tristan und Isolde” from Jan. 18, 2015. The opera spotlights Peter Seiffert, Iréne Theorin, Albert Dohmen, Tomasz Konieczny, and Petra Lang. Peter Schneider conducts the production by David McVicar.

Streaming date: April 28, 2021, 7 p.m. CET

The company will then live stream the new production of Gounod‘s “Faust” with Juan Diego Flórez, Nicole Car, Étienne Dupuis and Adam Palka. Bertrand de Billy conducts the production by Frank Castorf.

Streaming date: April 29, 2021, 6 p.m. CET

The production of Mozart‘s “Die Zauberflöte” ends the weekly slate. The opera features Jörg Schneider, Olga Bezsmertna, Hila Fahima, Thomas Tatzl, and René Pape. Ádám Fischer conducts the production by Moshe Leiser and Patrice Caurier. The opera was filmed on Dec. 29, 2017.
