Killer Queen Opera will present “It’s a Travesti!” on June 18, 2026 at the Theater Under St. Marks in New York City.

The cabaret, created and produced by Marie Anello alongside Killer Queen Opera, explores the queer and cross-dressing legacy of opera through new arrangements of classic works. The cast features Marie Anello, Joe Montoya, Samuelito Flores, Scam Likely aka Cesario Tirado-Ortiz, and Emma Helene Campbell.

The event, which kicks off at 7 p.m.,  is being staged in partnership with the Queerly Festival as part of Pride Month. A livestream option is also available for those unable to attend in person.

“It’s a Travesti!” is part of the Queerly Festival, FRIGID’s annual LGBTQIA+ arts celebration founded in 2014. This year’s festival theme is “Then, Now, and Always.”
