
Kamala Sankaram Joins S.E.M. Ensemble for Spring Concert 2025

Soprano Kamala Sankaram serves as soprano soloist, along with composer, vocalist, and pianist Amina Claudine Myers. Petr Kotik, conducts the orchestra.
Together they will present a program featuring Lejaren Hiller, Judith Berkson, Charles Ames, and Christian Wolff. Also on the program is Myers’ “Knowledge Of The Known And Unknown, “Mother E; Blessings,” “Steal Away,” “Twilight,” “Cairo,” and “Sensuous.” Kotik’s newest piece “The Gate” will also be performed.
The Bohemian National Hall in New York City hosts the April 16 concert. The show begins at 7 p.m. local time.
