Juliana Zara to Make Carnegie Hall Debut with Sejong Soloists

Sejong Soloists is set to present a 30th Anniversary Concert at Zankel Hall at  Carnegie Hall on May 22, 2024.

The event, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m., will feature the world premiere of Texu Kim’s “with/out.” Also on the program is the U.S. premiere of Unsuk Chin’s “Puzzles and Games” from “Alice and Wonderland,” which will be headlined by soprano Juliana Zara in her Carnegie Hall debut. Zara has been nominated for the German Theater Prize Der Faust and for Opus Klassik’s Singer of the Year award as well. She will perform “Alice in Wonderland” in May in Amsterdam.

“I am so happy to work together with Sejong Soloists for the first time,” Chin said in an official press statement. “I have known about their creative, innovative activities for a very long time, and I am deeply touched by their musicality and totally enthusiastic about their highly professional, virtuosic performances.”

Conductor Earl Lee leads the performance.
