Juliana Grigoryan, Jessica Pratt, Carmen Giannattasio & Anastasia Bartoli Lead Teatro Comunale di Bologna’s 2025 Season

The Teatro Comunale di Bologna’s 2025 season has been announced.

Riccardo Frizza conducts Puccini’s “La Faniculla del West” with Paul Curran directing. Carmen Giannattasio, Angelo Villari, and Claudio Sgura star.

Performance Dates: Jan. 24-30, 2025

Jessica Pratt, Giovanni Sala, and Lucas Meachem headline Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor” with Daniel Oren conducting a production by Jacopo Spirei.

Performance Dates: Feb. 20-25, 2025

Riccardo Frizza conducts Verdi’s “Un Ballo in Maschera” in a production by Daniele Menghini. The cast features Fabio Sartori, Anastasia Bartoli, Amartuvshin Enkhbat, and Silvia Beltrami.

Performance Dates: April 13-19, 2025

Martijn Dendievel conducts Mozart’s “Cosi fan tutte” in a production by Alessandro Talevi. Mariangela Sicilia, Francesca Di Sauro, Marco Ciaponi, and Nahuel Di Pierro headline the opera.

Performance Dates: May 25-June 1, 2025

Leonard Bernstein’s “Candide” will be conducted by Kevin Rhodes and directed by Renato Zanella.

Performance Dates: July 4-12, 2025

Oksana Lyniv conducts Stravinsky’s “Oedipus Rex” with Gabriele Lavia directing. Gabriele Lavia, Paolo Antognetti, and Claudio Otelli lead the cast.

Performance Dates: Oct. 7-12, 2025

Juliana Grigoryan, Stefan Pop, Giuliana Gianfaldoni, and Davide Luciano star in Puccini’s “La Bohème” with Martijn Dendievel conducting and Graham Vick directing.

Performance Dates: Nov. 23-30, 2025

The season concludes with Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” conducted by Renato Palumbo and directed by Federico Grazzini. The cast features Aya Wakizono, Dave Monaco, and Nicola Alaimo.

Performance Dates: Dec. 19-30, 2025
