Juan Diego Flórez is set to receive the first Premio Rubini from the Fondazione Rubini on July 23, 2023 following a gala performance at the Arena di Verona.

The Fondazione noted that Flórez will be recognized not only for his well-known vocal talents but for his artistic career.

The prize will be made possible by Abramo Bonomini, president of the Fondazione Rubini, Barbara Almeida, General Manager of Juna Diego Flórez, Cecilia Gasdia, Superintendent of Fondazione Arena di Verona, and Danilo Boaretto director of OperaClick.

Flórez made his Arena di Verona debut on July 20, 2023, and is set to present a gala of opera favorites on July 23 alongside Marina Monzó, Vasilisa Berzhanskaya, Gabriele Sagona, and Michele Pertusi. Christopher Franklin conducts.
