Jessica Pratt & Measha Brueggergosman Lead Teatro Dell’Opera di Roma’s New Streaming Lineup

The week begins with Verdi’s “Les vêpres siciliennes” in its original French version. The production, which opened the 2019-20 season, is conducted by Daniele Gatti and directed by Valentina Carrasco. For those who are interested to learn more about the work can check out the company’s podcast “Lezione di Opera” with Giovanni Bietti.

Tchaikovsky’s “The Sleeping Beauty” will continue from a performance in 2018. The Jean-Guillaume Bart version will be shown with Marianela Nuñez and principal dancers of the Royal Opera House.

Alejo Pérez conducts Emma Dante’s production of Prokofiev’s “The Fiery Angel.” For audiences who want to learn more about the work “Lezione di Opera” will be hosting a podcast specifically for the work on April 15, 2020.

Bellini’s “La Sonnambula” will be streamed from a 2018, production. The production stars Jessica Pratt and is conducted by Speranza Scappucci. The production is by Giorgio Barberio Corsetti.

For dance lovers, the ballet Le Parc che Angelin Preljocaj will be shown from a 2016 production. It stars Eleonora Abbagnato and Stéphane Bullion.

Kurt Weill and Bertlot Brecht’s “Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny” ends the two week marathon in a production by Graham Vick that premiered in 2015. John Axelrod conducts the performance which stars Iris Vermillion, Dietmar Kerschbaum, Willard White, and Measha Brueggergosman.
