Isabel Leonard Joins Voice Faculty of Manhattan School of Music

Opera star Isabel Leonard is joining the Manhattan School of Music’s faculty.

Leonard, who has a prominent international career that has taken her to such stages as the Metropolitan Opera, Washington National Opera, The Dallas Opera, Glyndebourne, Dutch National Opera, Royal Opera House, and Vienna State Opera, among many others, is a recipient of an honorary doctorate from the Manhattan School of Music. The Grammy Award-winner is also an alumna of the Manhattan School fo Music’s Precollege program.

“I am thrilled to be back home at MSM and look forward to working with Dr. Graham and Provost Griggs in continuing the School’s commitment to a world-class and fully rounded music education,” Leonard said in a press statement.

The institution also announced that pianist Myra Huang would also be joining the faculty.
