Irina Lungu, Piotr Beczała & Mauro Peter Headline Opernhaus Zurich’s June Programming

The Opernhaus Zürich has announced its June schedule.

The month kicks off with an open-air brunch concert by the Brass instrumentalists of the Opernhaus Zurich orchestra. The program includes music by Rossini, Dvořák, Mozart, Scarlatti, Vivaldi, Bach, Crespo, and Bizet.

The company will present Kinderkonzert “Der Nussknacker für Kinder.

Stravinsky’s “Die Geschichte vom Soldaten” will continue its run with Martin Zysset and Ruben Drole.

Performance Dates: June 11-23, 2021

Fabio Luisi conducts the Philharmonia Zürich in Bruckner Symphony No. 7. The concert will be streamed for audiences on the company’s digital platform.

Performance Date: June 19, 2021

Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor” will star Irina Lungu, Massimo Cavalletti, Piotr Beczała, and Oleg Tsibulko. Speranza Scapucci conducts the new production by Tatjana Gürbaca. The opera will be stream on May 27 on the company’s digital platform.

The company will present a Galakonzert Internationales Opernstudio.

Performance Dates: June 25 & 27, 2021

Mauro Peter and Ann-Kathrin Stöcker will present a recital of music by Schubert and Mahler.

Hanna Weinmeister and Orchestra La Scintilla will present a program of Mozart and Haydn.
