Hong Kong Polytechnic University to Present ‘Scènes de la vie de Bohème’

Hong Kong Polytechnic University is set to present “Scènes de la vie de Bohème.”

This performance is based on the Puccini’s opera and is sung in French.

The cast is made up of four principal roles.  “Scènes de la vie de Bohème” focuses on the emotional ties between the two couples while telling a story of the Chinese cultural diaspora in Paris. The creators pulled inspiration from Sanyu, Lin Fengmian, Pan Yuliang, Li Jinfa, Xu Xu, Shao Xunmei, Xian Xinghai, and Ma Sicong who found cultural and intellectual inspiration in Paris between the World Wars.

“Scènes de la vie de Bohème” takes place on May 30 as part of the May French Festival.
