Great Music on the Morristown Green & Music at St. Peter’s to Present Duruflé ‘Requiem’
By David SalazarGreat Music on the Morristown Green and Music at St. Peter’s will present Maurice Duruflé’s “Requiem,” Op. 9, on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Morristown, New Jersey.
The performance will feature the combined choirs of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and Morristown United Methodist Church, led by conductor John Liepold with Anthony Hammond at the organ.
An official press issued by Great Music on Morristown Green noted that “the choir is at the heart of the performance: sometimes singing in perfect unison, with warm and blended voices; sometimes dividing into gentle, illuminating harmonies. The organ breathes with the choir, amplifying the chant-derived melodies, as the soloists come forth brilliantly from the choral texture.”
The concert, which commences at 5 p.m. local time, is free and open to the public.
