Grange Park Opera Announces ‘Ring’ Partnership with ENO Orchestra

Grange Park Opera has announced that it will partner with the English National Opera’s Orchestra to present its previously announced “Ring Cycle” in 2026-29.

The two organizations are collaborating this season for “Mazeppa” and Grange Park Opera Founder Wasfi Kani CBE remarked his enthusiasm with regards to the partnership.

“During this 2025 season, the magnificent orchestra of English National Opera are setting the pit ablaze in Tchaikovsky’s ‘Mazeppa,” Kani noted per an official press release. “We are so lucky to have these players embarking with us on our 2026 Ring Cycle. Buckle up, Wagnerians!”

As previously revealed, Grange Park Opera will present the famed tetralogy in a production by Charles Edwards beginning in 2026 with “Das Rheingold” and followed by “Die Walküre” in 2027. “Siegfried” will take the stage in 2028 with “Götterdämmerung” rounding out the experience a year later in 2029.

The operas will be conducted by Anthony Negus and will showcase a cast that includes David Stout as Alberich, James Rutherford as Wotan, Christine Rice as Fricka, and Rachel Nicholls as our Brünnhilde. Matthew Rose, David Shipley, and Nicky Spence will also star.
