Montclair State University’s Cali Opera Program will present a chamber opera production of Gian Carlo Menotti’s “The Medium” on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025.

There will be two performances, one at 5 p.m. and another at 7:30 p.m. local time.

The opera stars Gabrielle Guida and Carlee Carpenter as Babas, Haiming Wu and Sonia Fortezza as Monicas, with Eoin Bentancourt and Alan Pinzon as Toby, Thomas Etts and Benjamin Silvesti as Mr. Gobineau, Brianna Coppolino and Jacklynn Wick as Mrs. Gobineau, and Izzy Ortiz and Gabrielle Cintrón as Mrs. Nolan.

“The Medium” will be directed by Karen Driscoll and features two pianists, William Hobbs and Virginia Stephens.

The opera will be presented in English.
