The Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona has announced that it will be altering its schedule to accommodate new governmental curfews imposed due to ongoing concerns over COVID-19.

The company announced that starting on Oct. 26, the production of “Don Giovanni” will start at 7 p.m. and end before 10 p.m. local time.

The production was originally scheduled to begin four of its performances at 8 p.m. local time. The only performance that won’t be affected by the new regulations is the Nov. 8 showcase, which is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. local time.

Doors to the theater will open one hour and 15 minutes before the scheduled start time to enable enough time for audiences to safely enter the hall.

Additionally, the company revealed that performances of the micro-opera series “Sis solos soles,” which will open on Nov. 1, will start at 12 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6:30 p.m.
