Golda Schultz has withdrawn from her performances at the Salzburg Easter Festival.
The soprano, who was set to perform in Mahler’s Symphony No. 8, released a statement noting, “I am sad to announce that I am unable to perform this week at the Easter Festival in Salzburg. Cancellations are never easy, but a necessary step toward restful recovery. I hope to be back on stage soon!”
As a result, Sarah Wegener will take over the soprano II and join a cast that includes Jacquelyn Wagner, Le Bu, Gihoon Kim, Benjamin Bruns, Fleur Barron, Beth Taylor, and Liv Redpath.
The performances are set to be held on March 31 and April 3, 2026.
