Golda Schultz to Debut at Princeton University Concerts

Famed soprano Golda Schultz is set to make her Princeton University Concerts debut on April 8, 2024.

She will present “This Be Her Verse,” which features music by Nathalie Boulanger, Rebecca Clarke, Emilie Mayer, and Clara Schumann. The centerpiece of the program is an eponymous song cycle by Kathleen Tagg and Lila Palmer. The soprano, who has performed at the world’s greatest stages, including the Metropolitan Opera, Bayerische Staats Opera, and Vienna State Opera, among others, will be joined by pianist Jonathan Ware.

“We are thrilled to bring Golda Schultz’s radiance to Princeton University Concerts for the first time with this incredibly thoughtful and beautiful program,” said Princeton University Concerts Director Marna Seltzer in an official press statement. “We are presenting this concert as a tribute to the memory of Maida Pollock, Princeton University Concerts’ former Director (1964-1988), who passed away over the summer at the age of 100. I can think of no better way to honor her incredible legacy than with this program that celebrates the vital power of the female perspective.”

The concert kicks off at 7:30 p.m. local time.
