Goetheanum to Present ‘Parsifal’ in 2025
By Francisco SalazarSwitzerland’s Goetheanum is set to present three more performances of Wagner’s “Parsifal” following a successful run.
The company said that it will showcase the work in cooperation between Pamy Mediaproductions and the Goetheanum Stage on April 13, 18, and 20, 2025.
The production was conceived by Alexander von Glenck’s idea to stage Richard Wagner’s “Parsifal” at the Goetheanum and he managed to convince Jasmin Solfaghari to take on this project.
Solfaghari put together an experienced team including Walter Schütze for the stage set and costumes, Roland Fister as musical director and Andreas Klippert to conduct the choir.
Solfaghari was also able to get tenor Klaus Florian Vogt involved in the project. The production was an immediate success with all performances sold out within a few hours.
Conversations are ongoing between Pamy and the Goetheanum on what will happen after the performances in 2025.
