
Jeremy Brauner & Max Potter Lead Opera Southwest’s ‘Cavalleria rusticana’
By Francisco SalazarOpera Southwest is set to open its season with Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana.”
The opera will star former OSW Apprentice Artist Max Potter as Santuzza, reprising a role she debuted in Santa Barbara in 2025 alongside tenor Jeremy Brauner, who makes his OSW debut as Turiddu, a role he has sung with the Sarasota Opera.
They will be joined by Todd Thomas, Lucianna Astorga, and Olga Perez Flora. Robert Mollicone conducts the masterwork in a production by Kathleen Clawson.
Forty-five minutes before each performance, audiences will be invited to attend Opera Southwest’s “Opera Insights” pre-performance talk, held in the Bank of America Auditorium or Wells Fargo Auditorium, accessible from the shared Journal Theatre lobby.
“Cavalleria Rusticana” will be performed between October. 25 and November. 1, 2026.
