Glyndebourne has announced that it will add another performance of Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” due to popular demand.

Per an official press statement, Artistic Director Stephen Langridge noted, “at a challenging time for the opera sector, it’s been a huge boost to see strong sales for our upcoming Festival. Our new production of ‘Don Giovanni’ is proving particularly popular, having already sold over 99 percent of tickets, so we’re adding another performance to the schedule.”

The added performance is scheduled for July 10, 2023 with many tickets set to be released under the special pricing of the company’s “Under 30s” and “Under 40s” programs.

Moreover, the company will release “hundreds of tickets at subsidized prices for under 30s” for performances of other productions including “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “L’elisir d’amore.”

The new “Don Giovanni” will be directed by Mariame Clément. The festival opens on May 19, 2023, and runs through August 27, 2023.
