Gerald Finley Headlines Special Concert at Broadstage

By David Salazar

Broadstage will present a five-language journey with baritone Gerald Finley on June 11, 2025.

Finley will headline alongside pianist Bryan Wagorn in a program that features works by Grieg, Barber, Schubert, Brahms, Schumann, Ives, Rachmaninoff, Duparc, Ravel, Vaughan Williams, Respighi, Wood, Rossini, Verdi, and Wagner.

The concert kicks off at 7:30 p.m.

Here is a clip of Finley performing Iago’s “Credo” from “Otello.” He will be performing the piece on the concert.

Finley is currently starring in the Metropolitan Opera’s production of “Antony and Cleopatra.” Of his turn as the Roman hero, our review noted that “He hit all the notes as Antony, portraying him as an angry, violent, and lustful warlord. His voice was robust and virile throughout, every line clean and clear. He was at his most riveting as he beat Agrippa to a pulp, with Finley able to showcase Antony unraveling before our eyes, the fallen hero growing increasingly pathetic.”
