Festival Puccini Receives Major Contribution from Italian Government

The Fondazione Festival Pucciniano has received 705,000 euros from the Italian government.

The contribution is a recognition that reinforces the institution’s mission and its dedication to celebrating the operas of Giacomo Puccini in Torre del Lago.

The contribution will help the company fund its productions with high-quality artists.

In a statement, Fabrizio Miracolo, President of the Fondazione Festival Pucciniano said, “This generous contribution represents a concrete recognition of the cultural and artistic importance of the Festival, unique in the world in celebrating the work of Giacomo Puccini in his Torre del Lago. Thanks to these resources, we will be able to continue to guarantee high-quality productions, enhancing the Maestro’s musical heritage and offering the public an unforgettable experience. Culture is a precious asset that must be protected and promoted, andthis intervention confirms the attention of the institutions towards events of international importance such as our Festival. I therefore thank the Government and all those who have contributed to this important result, which allows us to look to the future with confidence and determination.”

This season, the festival will present “Tosca,” “Turandot,” “La Bohème,” “Madama Butterfly,” and “Manon Lescaut.”
