The Opera Festival of Chicago has unveiled its 2023 season.

First up is “Assassinio nella Cattedrale” by Pizzetti. The opera stars Ferruccio Furlanetto, Maria Kanyova, Reuben Lillie, and William Powell III.

Emanuele Andrizzi conducts and Sasha Gerritson directs.

Performance Dates: July 6 & 9, 2023

 Andrea Silvestrelli, Maria Kanyova, Patrick Blackwell, and Anna Laurenzo will headline the “Italian Soirée.” Pianist Irina Feoktistova will accompany the soloists and members of the Festival Young Artists. 

Performance Date: July 11, 2023

Ferruccio Furlanetto and Natalia Sidorenko will give a recital.

Performance Date: July 13, 2023

Marc Verzatt will direct “Attila.” Emanuele Andrizzi conducts a cast starring Andrea Silvestrelli, Jenny Schuler, Daniel O’Hearn, Patrick Blackwell, and Reuben Lillie.
