Felix Jarrar & Friends to Present ‘Music for a Better Tomorrow’ Supporting LGBTQIA+ Rights

By Chris Ruel

Pianist and composer Felix Jarrar will join soprano Caroline Spaeth, tenor David Rivera Bozón, and violist Justin Ouellett on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Church of the Good Shepherd for a concert to support LGBTQIA+ rights. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to NAGLY.

The concert will feature standard operatic repertoire by Meyerbeer and Puccini, alongside the world premiere of Jarrar’s solo viola sonata “Bye, Felicia,” and a brand new viola and piano piece called “A Happiness to Dream.”

The program also includes “There was a little girl” from Jarrar’s second opera, “The Fall of the House of Usher,” and “Love Like Ours” from his tenth opera, “Washington Square” (libretto by Thomas Barrett Blakeley).

The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. and is free to attend. QR codes will be available for donations to NAGLY.
