FEDORA Earns Renewed Financial Support from European Commission

The organization has been awarded €2.8 million until 2028, allowing the platform to continue collaborations with 37 opera houses across 16 countries and over 60 partner institutions.
“We are delighted to announce that the Creative Europe programme of the European Commission has renewed its support for the FEDORA Platform, enabling us to continue to serve emerging artists and the renewal of opera and dance. We pursue our efforts at a time when, now more than ever, culture has a vital role to play in Europe and traditional funding models are increasingly strained.” said FEDORA’s President Stéphane Argyropoulos in an official press statement.
FEDORA is a non-profit organization “committed to supporting and contributing to the future of opera and dance in Europe.” To that end, the organization has supported over 269 projects for such companies as Birmingham Opera Company, Britten Pears Arts, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, Finnish National Opera, Irish National Opera, Opéra de Lille, Opera Philadelphia, and the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe through grants and other means.
