Eugenia Forteza Headlines BALAM Dance Theatre’s ‘Garden of Love in Miniature’

On April 21, 2022, BALAM Dance Theatre will present “Garden of Love in Miniature” as part of the Gotham Early Music Scene’s Midtown Concerts at the Church of the Transfiguration in New York City.

The showcase, which will shine a spotlight on baroque dances including music by Francois Couperin as well as Jean-Henri D’Anglebert’s transcription for solo harpsichord of Jean Baptiste Lully’s “Entrée de Apollon.”

Among the performers will be mezzo-soprano Eugenia Forteza, who will be making her debut with the company. Forteza’s other upcoming projects include a Benefit Concert to Support Ukraine via Spotlight Artists Management, Mozart’s Requiem with the Fairfield County Chorale, Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater” with Bel Canto in Tuscany, and “Fire Songs” with Bare Opera, among others.

Audiences unable to attend the performance in person will be able to stream it via the company’s official website.
