Mezzo-soprano Erin Wagner and collaborative pianist Maureen Zoltek will perform a free recital on Sunday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m. in Greenfield Recital Hall at Manhattan School of Music.

The program opens with Hugo Wolf’s “Mignon Lieder,” followed by the six songs of David Clay “Mettens’s -the sustaining air,” Poulenc’s “La dame de Monte Carlo,” and Samuel Barber’s complete “Hermit Songs.”

The concert is presented as part of the Naumburg at MSM series, which spotlights Naumburg artists with ties to Manhattan School of Music. Wagner, an MSM alumna (BM ’19), won the Naumburg Vocal Award in 2021. Zoltek holds a DMA from the school (2013) and currently serves as Music Director of the Houston Grand Opera Studio.

Wagner’s recent season has included a Metropolitan Opera debut in “Die Frau ohne Schatten,” appearances with the Louisville Orchestra and Maryland Symphony, and a return to Wolf Trap Opera. Wagner will also appear in the Walter W. Naumburg Foundation’s 100th Anniversary concert on May 17 at the Rose Theater at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
