Ensemble for These Times has announced its 2025 East Coast tour, featuring stops in Brooklyn and Boston. Our main focus in this article will be the vocal performances on offer.

The first performance, in Brooklyn on Sept. 20, 2025, is “BK / I Motion: New Music by Marginalized Voices.” Headlining the showcase are soprano Nanette McGuinness, cellist Megan Chartier, and pianist Margaret Halbig. Guest violinist Mia Rose Nardi-Huffman joins them. The program includes works by Madeline Clara Cheng, Ursula Kwong-Brown, and Niloufar Nourbakhsh and takes place at Brooklyn Art Haus.

There will be a performance featuring the works of Niloufar Nourbakhsh at the Longy School of Music of Bard College in Cambridge, MA. Charier two days later on Sept. 22, 2025. Chartier, Halbig, and Nardi-Huffman headline the show.
