Ensemble Caprice to Perform ‘Messiah’

Ensemble Caprice has announced its annual holiday tradition by presenting Handel’s “Messiah.”

The highly anticipated concert will take place on Dec. 7 at Salle Raoul-Jobin in Quebec City and on Dec. 22 at Maison Symphonique in Montreal.

Matthias Maute conducts the Ensemble Caprice, in collaboration with Ensemble ArtChoral and Festival Classica. The oratorio will be sung by soprano Marianne Lambert, contraltoRose Nagar-Tremblay, tenor Emmanuel Hasler, and baritone Geoffroy Salvas.

The Ensemble Caprice is the winner of two JUNO Awards and is recognized by the New York Times as a “progressive force in the musical world. Meanwhile, the Ensemble ArtChoral is a professional choir rooted in Quebec’s rich choral tradition and is the winner of the 2020 OPUS Award for Musical Event of the Year.
