The English National Opera has canceled the opening night performance of “The Cunning Little Vixen” due to Storm Eunice.

The company noted, “we’re sorry to announce that due to today’s red weather warning, tonight’s premiere of ‘The Cunning Little Vixen‘ is canceled. We’re saddened to do this, but the safety of our audiences, staff, and performers whilst traveling to and from the London Coliseum is paramount.”

The company added that tickets for the performance can be transferred to any other performance in the run, including the new premiere performance on Sunday, Feb. 20. Those performances are all currently due to go ahead as scheduled.

The news comes as the U.K. is being hit by the unprecedented Storm Eunice which is set to cause winds up to 122 miles per hour. The Royal Opera House also canceled its opening performance of “Rigoletto” and will now open on Feb. 21.
