
Early Music Seattle Names Patricia García Gil as 2025-26 Emerging Artist Program
By David SalazarEarly Music Seattle has named Patricia García Gil as the inaugural artist of its new Emerging Artist Program.
Patricia García Gil, a prize-winning pianist and fortepianist, has toured Europe, the U.S., and Latin America, combining technical precision with inventive programming. She is Artist in Residence at the Cornell Center for Historical Keyboards and a Postdoctoral Associate at Cornell University, where her work integrates performance, research, and pedagogy. Her recent projects include a critically acclaimed recording of the complete piano works of Pauline Viardot and performances with the Smithsonian Academy Orchestra and Ars Lyrica. García Gil.
To introduce García Gil to Northwest audiences, Early Music Seattle will partner with Classical KING FM to broadcast her program “Not Only Muses: Trailblazers of the Piano World on Nov. 7, 2025, at 7 p.m. Pacific (98.1 FM or online at classicalking.org).
