Dutch National Opera Chorus Announces Farewell Concert for Ching-Lien Wu

The Chorus of the Dutch National Opera will be presenting Brahms’ “Ein deutsches Requiem” on April 22, 2021.

The stream, which will be presented in collaboration with the Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam, will be farewell showcased aimed at honoring Ching-Lien Wu, the chorus master of the Dutch National Opera. Wu will be headed to Paris where she has been appointed “Chef des choeurs” at the Opéra National de Paris. Wu worked at the Dutch National Opera for seven seasons.

The work, which will be presented in a reduced version for two pianos and timpani,  will feature baritone Huw Montague Rendall and soprano Adela Zaharia as the soloists, both making their Dutch National Opera debuts.

The showcase will be streamed live from the Great Hall of the Concertgebouw.
